Our Mission
FinanceCalx was built with a simple goal: give investors, borrowers and savers fast, accurate and free tools to understand their money better — without sign-ups, paywalls, or sending personal financial data anywhere. Our investment and loan calculators work in multiple currencies, and we also offer a set of tools built specifically around Indian tax and retirement schemes.
Who’s Behind FinanceCalx
FinanceCalx is an independently run project, not affiliated with any bank, broker, mutual fund house, or lender. That independence is deliberate: it means our calculators aren’t built to steer you toward any particular product or provider, only to give you an accurate, formula-based estimate. Every calculation method is sourced from standard, publicly documented financial formulas and current regulatory rules rather than proprietary or unverifiable models — you can see exactly how and why on our Editorial & Methodology Policy page.
We take accuracy seriously: every reported calculation error is checked directly against the underlying formula and corrected promptly, and rule changes that affect a calculator — like revised income tax slabs — are reflected here as soon as they take effect. If you’d like to verify anything yourself or flag a concern, our Contact page reaches a real person, not an automated queue.
Who These Calculators Are For
FinanceCalx is built for anyone planning their own finances — whether you’re comparing SIP vs. lumpsum investing, working out a loan EMI before applying, or estimating your retirement savings. Our investment and loan tools are usable in INR, USD, EUR and GBP, and our tax, salary, PPF, EPF and NPS calculators are tailored specifically to Indian rules for readers in India. Each calculator is meant to be usable on its own, without any financial background required to understand the result.
Interpreting the Results
Every result shown on this website is an estimate based on the inputs you provide and the assumptions documented on that specific calculator’s page (compounding frequency, whether a tax regime or financial year applies, and so on). We keep those assumptions visible rather than hidden, so you can judge how closely they match your own situation. Rules that change periodically — most notably income tax slabs — are labelled with the specific financial year they apply to; please double-check current rules for anything time-sensitive before acting on a result. See our Disclaimer for more on how to use these estimates responsibly.
What We Offer Today
We currently offer 34 calculators across five categories: investment calculators (SIP, Lumpsum, Lumpsum vs SIP, SWP, Mutual Fund Returns, CAGR, Goal-Based SIP, Compound Interest, XIRR), savings & retirement calculators (FD, RD, Retirement, Inflation), loan calculators (EMI, Home Loan, Car Loan, Personal Loan, Education Loan, Gold Loan, Business Loan, Two-Wheeler Loan, Loan Eligibility, Loan Interest and Loan Tenure), tax & salary calculators (Income Tax, Take-Home Salary, Gratuity, TDS), and government scheme calculators (PPF, NPS, EPF and Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, SCSS and APY). We’re actively working on expanding this library to cover many more financial scenarios.
Found a Mistake?
If a calculator’s result looks wrong, or you’ve spotted outdated information anywhere on this site, please tell us via our Contact page — choose “Calculator errors/corrections” and let us know which calculator and what inputs you used. We investigate every report against the underlying formula.
